Philoxenia Events was born from a shared passion for luxury hospitality, creative mixology, and flawless event execution. Co-founded in London by Italian hospitality expert Giorgio Tosato and Greek event visionary Silia Smirniopoulou, the company was inspired by their deep-rooted cultural pride and mutual commitment to excellence.
Conceived over cocktails in London — one of the world’s most dynamic and cosmopolitan cities — Philoxenia was shaped by their shared values around style, service, and innovation. Drawing on Italian design finesse and the warmth of Greek hospitality, they set out to create a premium mobile bar company that would elevate event experiences across Europe.
After months of refining their concept, Philoxenia Events launched as a boutique bar service agency, delivering bespoke cocktail experiences for high-end private and corporate events in the UK, Greece, Italy and France. Today, the company is recognised for its stylish bar setups, expert mixologists, and seamless service, offering everything from signature cocktail creation to full-scale bar management for weddings, brand activations, and luxury experiences.
Meet Giorgio Tosato
Founder & Managing Director
Giorgio Tosato, also known in the industry as The Notorious Cocktail, is the visionary behind Philoxenia Events and a highly respected name in luxury mixology. With over a decade of experience behind some of London and Europe’s most prestigious bars, Giorgio is known for his bold creativity, refined technique, and passion for crafting unforgettable cocktail experiences.
He has worked closely with world-renowned Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay OBE, creating and launching signature cocktail menus for several Gordon Ramsay Group restaurants. His unique ability to blend innovation with elegance has made him a trusted mixologist for high-end hospitality brands and private clients alike.
Giorgio’s work has been featured in elite publications such as the Financial Times’ How To Spend It and Bar Business Magazine, further establishing his influence within the world of premium cocktail culture.
Today, Giorgio leads the Philoxenia Events team with energy, precision, and creative vision — designing bespoke cocktail menus, training staff, and delivering exceptional bar experiences for luxury events across the UK and Europe.

Co-Founder & Business Development Manager
Smirniopoulou is the co-founder of Philoxenia Events and a dynamic force in the world of luxury event planning and hospitality. With a background in Communication and International Marketing, Silia built her career in high-end event management, working as an Events Executive for D&D London, a prestigious hospitality group with venues across London, New York, and Paris.
Known for her meticulous attention to detail, strategic thinking, and client-first approach, Silia has curated events for discerning clientele across Europe. Her passion lies in delivering experiences that not only meet expectations — but exceed them.
Driven by a vision to bring creativity, elegance, and Mediterranean warmth to the world of event hospitality, Silia partnered with acclaimed mixologist Giorgio Tosato to create Philoxenia Events. Together, they built a brand that reflects their shared values: impeccable service, immersive storytelling, and meaningful connection.
Today, Silia leads the company’s business development and client relations, ensuring that every private event, corporate function, and brand activation reflects the high standards and personal touch that define the Philoxenia experience.
