Philoxenia’s birth – a meeting of minds and hearts over a cocktail in one of the world’s most stylish and eclectic cities – London!
When Silia and Giorgio first met, neither could have known how symbiotic their mindsets were. The initial idea for the brand came from their passion and interests, developed in London, but also by their mutual love for their respective homelands, Italy and Greece.
For months the vibrant couple were developing a way to make their business synonymous with style and elegance. They felt that with their wealth of experience and differing backgrounds, they could provide a determined force and unique choice in the event planning industry, by pulling together their credentials.
Combining Italian finesse and Greek hospitality in an elegant way, the couple established #Philoxenia Events. It is known for its reliability and comes highly recommended as a bar management company for private and corporate events in Greece, Italy and the UK.
Meet Giorgio Tosato
Founder & Managing Director
Giorgio, also known as The Notorious Cocktail, has spent time earning respect and curating his craft as a mixologist and he has trained staff to emulate his vision. His unwavering passion, has meant he has experience working with highly respected people and within bars all over London and Europe. Gordon Ramsay OBE, highly acclaimed Michelin star chef, restauranteur and food critic is someone Giorgio has worked closely with. Giorgio created and launched a signature cocktail menu for a number of Gordon Ramsay Group restaurants.
Giorgio’s cocktails are featured in the Financial Times Magazine, ‘How To Spend It’ and Bar Business Magazine.
Meet Silia Smirniopoulou
Co-Founder & Business Development Manager
Co-founder Silia has an education in Communication and International Marketing, she has earned her reputation as Events Executive, based at D&D London Company, a business that hosts high calibre clientele and has event spaces in London, New York and Paris.
Her drive and enthusiasm for making an event a success for her customer – unparalleled. She is driven by the want for your event to surpass your expectation.
Bringing together her knowledge and experiences from the hospitality and events sector, the idea of ‘Philoxenia Events’ came to life, with the support of the talented mixologist Giorgio Tosato.
